Bridging the Cayman Islands swim crew member Richard Clifford – Kayaker

Richard Clifford Esq.

When I mentioned to my team that I’d like to profile each of them on our website in the lead up to my Cayman Island swim it took me a little convincing one or two of the crew to send me their personal background information.

If fact Richards’s response was “I don’t like to toot my own horn”. Well looking at Richards rich and interesting life, as a lawyer, a father of two beautiful daughters who are both studying at university and his kayaking resume below it’s a good thing he doesn’t like to ‘toot’ because if he did we’d need the foghorn from the Queen Mary! Below you can read about Richards place of work and his very impressive kayaking resume.[singlepic id=958 w=320 h=240 float=]

This weekend Richard will be joining Steven Munatones and Lexie Kelly in the Cayman Islands.

Richard and Steven will assist Lexie on her swim between Cayman Brac and Little Cayman Island and to study the local conditions and find suitable places for me to start and finish my Bridging the Cayman Island swims.

This is the type of commitment I believe Richard’s referring to in this statement on his law firm website;

One cannot simply turn up on the day or ‘dial in’ a performance. One must communicate in advance build bonds, share commitment, prepare, and stay on course until the end. There is no quitting. Team-work is the path to success. That’s how I approach what’s important in my life whether representing a client in the simplest matter or handling an estate, or in litigation, or being involved in a swim competition or charity event.”
